Go Ahead, Throw it all Out There Again

When you have tried and tried, but come up short, it is easy to get discouraged. It is even easier to choose to simply give up.

It is not easy to step out in faith after coming up short. It is not easy to follow God’s leading when he leads you so close to a place of past failure.

But, what is your other choice really?

We fail, not when we come up short, but when we fail to follow God’s lead after coming up short.

He will lead you to the right place where there are SO many blessings.

But it takes faith to follow that leading. It takes pushing through fatigue. It takes throwing it all out there again. It takes faith.

If you are tired today,

If you have tried and tried,

If you have put yourself and others out there,

Only to come up short.

It is not time to quit.

It is time to listen for his voice,

Follow his lead,

Go Ahead.

Throw it all out there again.

John 21:3-6
“Simon Peter (a disciple of Jesus) said, ‘I’m going fishing.’

‘We’ll come, too,’ they all said. So they went out in the boat, but they caught NOTHING ALL NIGHT.

At dawn Jesus was standing on the beach, but the disciples couldn’t see who he was.

He called out, ‘Fellows, have you caught any fish?’

‘No,’ they replied.

Then he said, ‘THROW OUT YOUR NET on the RIGHT-hand side of the boat, and you’ll get some!’

So THEY DID, and they couldn’t haul in the net because there were SO MANY fish in it.”
