Not Just a Safe Place

12 Aug

I wanted to share this picture that I took as I watched my husband throw our oldest son wildly out into a lake.

I love this picture, I guess mostly because when I look at it I am reminded that

When we are in the arms of our Heavenly Father, it is not just a safe place. It is an exciting, wild place.

It is a place where we never know exactly where our Father will launch us, but we can trust that it is always toward the light and we can know that He will not let us drown.

We need not fear. We need not fight. We simply need to place ourselves in his hands, take a big breath and soar.

“These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.” – John 16:33

Love the reminder. I was just at a Beth Moore Bible study last night, and we read the words, “Underneath are the everlasting arms.” He’s got us. Great visual!
